We have a fantastic lineup of singers for our 2018 event.
City of Sails Barbershop Chorus
We’re excited to have the City of Sails Barbershop Chorus join us again. This 40-strong all-male a cappella group draws members from all age groups, backgrounds and abilities. One thing all members have in common is their love of singing, and the group gives regular performances.
GALS – Auckland’s gay and lesbian singers – are also joining us again. The group has been together for 25 years and has sung around the world as well as across New Zealand.
Next Offramp is an 11-piece a cappella contemporary a cappella group from Auckland. The group’s been singing together since 2009.
Schola is based at Baradene College in Auckland. The choir is open to all students and offers the chance to sing at school events as well as larger ones, such as the Big Sing.
Stellar Singers is a community choir based in Auckland – but it’s a community choir with a difference. The choir has sung with Josh Groban, The King’s Singers and the Real Group, and has performed on The X Factor, New Zealand’s Got Talent and Dancing with the Stars. The choir also offers regular concerts around Auckland and further afield.
The Choir brings Aucklanders together in high-quality, inclusive singing groups. Members build confidence and musical skill in supportive choirs that perform around the city. Currently there are five groups, but the initiative is constantly growing.
Waikato Rivertones Chorus
Drawing members from Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Taupo and Turangi, the Rivertones Chorus is a women’s chorus committed to performing barbershop-style music. The group has been Champion New Zealand Chorus on numerous occasions and has represented NZ internationally five times.
